I enjoy working with adults, with a special interest in individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, and shame, or are adjusting to change.
My approach is strength based: we will look not only at what your challenges are, but also at what has brought you joy and success in the past. I draw upon a variety of theories such as family systems, transpersonal theory, mindfulness cognitive behavioral, art therapy and other modalities.
As a trained art therapist, sometimes we may use art as a tool to help with stress relief, anxiety, depression, trauma and loss, and gain insight into a problem. Children especially seem to express themselves freely through art. Adults find it enables new insights. Artistic ability is not needed!
