I value making therapy a safe and comfortable experience for my clients. Therefore I take a collaborative approach to treatment: I believe the best outcomes in therapy happen when both the client and therapist work together. It may be that therapy is new to you, or you have had a bad experience before; but I will work with you to ensure that we are addressing your needs and meeting your goals. The process of therapy is different for everyone and treatment should be viewed in the same way.
I enjoy working with people from different cultures, backgrounds, ages and treatment issues. My experience in community mental health has prepared me well for this. I have extensive experience working with children and adults going through life changes and transitions, depression, anxiety, managing anger, family or relationship conflict.
I believe in therapy and the principles under which it was founded. I also believe good and effective therapy takes time and commitment. I make every effort to meet my clients where they are most comfortable and open to change.
