I will help you develop insights and skills to help you unravel feelings and thoughts about yourself and life. We start where you want to start, collaborate to enhance your abilities and promote your life goals. Anxiety and depression can improve with attention and cognitive approaches. I have experience working with the queer community including: bisexuality, Gay, lesbian, transgender clients, gender dysphoria and non-binary identity. All adults age 20-100 welcome.
I use a strengths focused collaborative approach. Some clients greatly benefit from a cognitive behavioral therapy approach, others respond to solution focused therapy or a systems framework. I have been involved with the LGBTQAI community for 25 years, in many roles: parent, educator, trainer, counselor.
I use a holistic approach to personal growth. I value your life experiences and insights. I have taught in social work Master's level education. My expertise includes building coping skills, mindfulness, family dynamics, depression and anxiety assessment, CBT, and stress management.
