Compassion is one key used in treating children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other difficulties together with their parents. In addition to guiding children to strategies to manage adversity, I teach parents how to reinforce these tactics at home between sessions. With this method, children improve quicker than they would with just one hour per week of treatment.
I specialize in working with children and families to improve child behavior and parental relationships. I have been trained in five different evidence-based parenting programs. I apply this evidence-based angle in individual, family, and group therapy settings.
