I am a relationally oriented psychotherapist offering treatment to those living in NY, PA, and NJ seeking relief from emotional suffering. I practice from a contemporary psychodynamic orientation, paying careful attention to the ways in which our sociocultural experiences inform our psychological development. I regard symptoms as opportunities for growth when approached with curiosity, compassion, and respect. I am committed to building an energetic and collaborative therapeutic relationship that can help you better understand your motivations and needs, and experience a more authentic connection with yourself and others.
I specialize in the treatment of problems relating to food, eating & the body. My goal is to help you develop a deeper understanding of how the hunger for emotional nourishment can manifest itself in a myriad of ways. You will learn how to think about hunger, appetite, desire and limits both physically and metaphorically in order to reconnect to core needs.
I have completed post-graduate training at the Women’s Therapy Centre Institute in NYC, and received my doctoral degree in clinical social work from UPenn. I am actively engaged in sessions and will bring my full attention and emotional presence to our conversations.
