Ultimately, my goal is to help you gain a better understanding of both your difficulties and strengths, and to acquire tools to gain more satisfaction in your life.
I blend CBT, family systems theory, and relational approaches in my work. This includes mindfulness techniques that help increase control over our emotional reactivity. Regardless of theory, the most important part of the process is building a therapeutic connection of trust and safety. Sessions with a friendly golden retriever available on request.
I have experience working with many kinds of problems and with a diverse blend of cultural backgrounds. Included in my stregnths are warmth, patience, and tenacity. I use these qualities to encourage others to connect in meaningful ways both in the treatment and ultimately in relationships outside of the work.
