My practice focuses on adults who appear to have it all together. Friends, family members, or peers may fail to hear you when you express your needs or true feelings or question whether you even have problems. Despite what others may see, you want to be heard, to express your hurts and dreams and you want to do so in a safe space. Whether you are dealing with a situational issue like an academic or professional obstacle or something that feels more encompassing like relationship patterns or identity issues, I will work with you to illuminate the answers already inside of you. I use EMDR and IFS to address client needs.
As I counselor, I bear witness to my clients' struggles and walk alongside them as they use their strengths to achieve their goals. I counsel young adults seeking to actualize their visions for their lives and elders who are ready to heal and create new paths. I enjoy working with other therapists who are ready to do their own deep work.
I value my work with underserved populations and those for whom counseling has seemed inaccessible. I work from a multi-cultural perspective that recognizes the multiple identities that we hold and the impact that living in our society can have while valuing each person and their unique experiences.
