My goal is to help individuals and couples experience healthier and happier lives and relationships by providing them with a safe and accepting space to navigate and overcome the challenges they're facing. I help clients discover their strengths while empowering them to understand the "why" of negative patterns and the "how" of making changes. I strive to create a therapeutic process that is enlightening, encouraging, and empowering through educating and supporting my clients. I primarily work with clients who have experienced or are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship distress, infidelity, and grief/loss.
My approach is collaborative, strength based, and systems oriented. I believe the client/therapist relationship is an important and powerful component of change and as a result, work from a place of objectivity, acceptance, and transparency. I am candid, without judgment and I encourage, without pressure.
While my treatment approach draws most heavily from EMDR, Psychoanalytic, IFS, and EFT, I remain fluid in my approach, tailoring my work to each individual or couple I work with. I also provide clinical supervision to LMFT and LMHC associates seeking licensure. Supervising other therapists has been an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience for me!
