I am a clinical psychologist with 25+ years of experience helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, and more general life issues related to personal growth, self-esteem, and relationships. For those struggling with panic, excessive worrying, social anxiety, or intrusive, unwanted, fearful thoughts, I offer strategies that have been found to be highly effective in managing emotional distress. This also includes finding ways to turn towards and sit with uncomfortable emotions as attempts to resist these emotions often leads to more suffering.

Leaning into difficult emotions with curiosity and compassion can be a challenging process, and thus I try to foster a relationship that is empathic and encouraging. Healing from painful past experiences, grieving significant losses, self-acceptance, and moving towards your values and goals are also common themes in therapy.

Therapy can also be used to help develop clarity around your identity, beliefs, emotional needs, and behavior patterns. This includes understanding ways in which you have been influenced by family, culture, childhood experiences, or even biological factors. Ultimately, my hope is to help each of my clients live a life that is full and meaningful to them.
