I am a licensed Counseling Psychologist whose work is dedicated to supporting clients on their journey to achieving wellness of mind, body and spirit. I utilize a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to create a safe environment in which we can explore how identity factors, personal strengths, experiences and obstacles may influence responses to difficult emotions and events.Through a holistic, integrative framework, I collaborate with my clients to identify relevant, measurable goals and identify pathways to achieving their fullest potential. Customized approaches are developed based on each person's unique needs, values and preferences.
I enjoy facilitating group counseling and providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families. My areas of specialty and clinical interest include interpersonal and sexual trauma, mindfulness, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, career exploration, PTSD, sexual and gender identity, body-based healing, and psychoendocrinology.
In 2005, I established a center at UCI dedicated to preventing interpersonal violence and abuse and to providing holistic healing and advocacy for survivors and served as the Director for 16 years while maintaining a small private practice and offering consulting for campuses, professionals and organizations. I welcome new clients.
